Acupressure for Flatulence

One of the most effective acupressure points for flatulence is also one of the easiest to find.

Locate your belly button.

Three finger-widths (that is three times the width of your middle finger) below the navel, simply press gently for 3 to 5 minutes. Alternatively, you may simply rub around the navel for a few minutes.

Be in a place where it's OK to pass gas. Either maneuver tends to speed the release of gas and bloat.

Of course, you shouldn't rub the belly if you have had recent surgery, have a hernia, have abdominal cancer, or are pregnant.
